Job summary

AutoZone is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) to develop into a Retail Store Manager. The MIT role focuses on leadership, customer service excellence, and operational expertise with hands-on assignments and structured learning.

Within 8–12 weeks, you could progress into management based on experience and performance. A clear path to promotion is provided through a results-driven training program at AutoZone.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a retail manager or supervisor.
• Full-time schedule including mornings, nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Bi-lingual English/Spanish communication is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead a store team under the Store Manager’s guidance and deliver WOW customer service.
• Oversee inventory accuracy and merchandising to maximize sales.
• Mentor and train employees to build a strong, cohesive team.
• Assist with staffing and execution of store operations and policies.
• Analyze monthly P&L statements to improve store profitability.
• Drive customer service initiatives and resolve issues proactively.
• Support management openings through hands-on leadership development.
• Complete the management skills training as part of MIT program.
