Job summary

Dollar General is seeking a store manager to lead daily operations, staffing, and customer service at our location. You will recruit, train, and evaluate team members, ensure proper opening/closing procedures, and uphold company cash controls and security practices.

You will analyze sales and inventory, adjust plans to meet targets, and maintain merchandising and cleanliness standards to deliver a safe, efficient shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of management experience in retail preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret documents and perform basic math.
• Strong cash handling, inventory control and merchandising knowledge.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, evaluate and discipline staff in compliance with laws and Company policies.
• Ensure proper staffing levels and accurate schedules.
• Lead store operations including opening/closing, inventory, and cash control.
• Monitor sales, expenses and shrink; implement improvement actions.
• Maintain visual merchandising and pricing per guidelines.
• Provide superior customer service leadership and safety awareness.
