Responsibilities

• Recruit, select and retain qualified employees according to federal/state laws and company policies; ensure store is properly staffed.
• Provide proper training for employees; conduct performance evaluations; identify gaps and counsel or terminate when needed.
• Make recommendations regarding employee pay rate and advancement.
• Communicate performance, conduct and safety expectations; coordinate meetings and events to ensure safety and policy compliance.
• Open and close the store personally at least twice per week.
• Evaluate operating statements to identify trends, expenses and shrink; review ordering plans weekly.
• Ensure stocking, merchandising and pricing follow company standards.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and cash control procedures.
