Job summary

Hibbett I City Gear is seeking an Assistant Manager to support daily store operations in Richmond, VA. The role emphasizes customer service, merchandising, and leadership in the Store Manager's absence.

The Assistant Manager will assist with staff training, scheduling, inventory control, and achieving store goals while upholding company policies and procedures. This is a Non-Exempt, hourly position reporting to the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Experience in a retail environment, preferably footwear and athletic apparel.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling store assets and operations.
• Collaborate on action plans for selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering and scheduling.
• Act as store supervisor in the Store Manager's absence.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments as needed.
• Ensure excellent customer service and promote merchandise in stores.
• Maintain awareness of inventory, sales statistics and expenses to support profitability.
