Job summary

Hibbett Retail, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager in Richmond, VA to partner with the Store Manager for daily operations and administrative duties. You will be knowledgeable in product areas, uphold company standards, and promote merchandise while delivering outstanding customer service.

In this role you will assume store leadership in the Store Manager’s absence and assist in scheduling, merchandising, and personnel processes to drive store goals and profitability.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail, preferably footwear/apparel.
• 1-3 years of customer service experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Store Manager in controlling the assets of Hibbett I City Gear.
• Establish action plans to accomplish selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling.
• Assume store responsibility in the Store Manager's absence.
• Assist with personnel recruiting, training, and evaluation.
• Provide guidance to employees and customers across departments.
• Monitor inventory, sales statistics, and expenses to help maintain profitability.
• Direct staff to ensure department responsibilities and standards are met.
• Keep Store Manager informed about inventory movement and customer trends.
• Maintain high-quality customer service per manuals and policies.
