Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Store Manager in Training to learn day-to-day store operations, customer service, and merchandising under a Store Manager. The role requires strong leadership to motivate a team, maintain safety and clean displays, and deliver excellent customer service.

The 6-month training period includes potential relocation for promotion to Store Manager. You will direct store personnel, build revenue, and ensure effective loss prevention while developing product knowledge and sales

Qualifications

• 2+ years retail management experience.
• Outgoing self-starter who enjoys working with people.
• Proficient in Excel and Word.
• Experience with retail software systems.
• Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible hours, 50-hour workweek as needed.
• Must meet federal requirements for a Federal Firearms License (FFL).

Responsibilities

• Direct the operations of the assigned store.
• Lead and motivate the store team to meet sales goals.
• Ensure appealing, safe, correctly priced displays and floor plans.
• Recruit, train, and develop personnel.
• Guide daily goals for Assistant Store Managers.
• Maintain a positive and professional workplace culture.
• Manage inventory, cash control, and loss prevention.
• Maintain/build product knowledge and sales techniques.
