Job summary

ALDI USA is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily store operations and supervise staff. This role includes managing schedules, developing action plans to improve performance, and ensuring high standards of customer service and store execution.

You will work with the store leader to maintain inventory, signage, payroll, and loss prevention initiatives while upholding ALDI’s values. The position is full-time with competitive wages and benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
• Prior management experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a cash register accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identifies training and development opportunities for direct reports.
• Model ALDI core values to foster teamwork and a sense of belonging.
• Monitor competition and advise adjustments to maintain ALDI’s position.
• Provide product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel.
• Communicate information including weekly updates and milestones.
• Ensure inventory procedures and cash control policies are followed.
• Resolve store operational issues in absence of the direct leader.
• Identify hazards and maintain equipment and ergonomics.
• Maintain store cleanliness and signage at all times.
• Assist with stock levels and product ordering.
• Merchandise products neatly to maximize sales.
• Ensure product quality and signage accuracy.
• Support payroll, loss prevention, and staff training goals.
• Supervise day-to-day team activities and escalate issues as needed.
• Ensure timely completion of responsibilities and high customer service.
