Job summary

Roses Discount Stor in Hope Mills, NC seeks an Assistant Manager/Key Carrier to provide excellent customer service and support the Store Manager in day-to-day operations. You will help hire and train staff, supervise hourly team members, and ensure store standards are met for a productive, friendly shopping environment.

Responsibilities include opening/closing in the manager's absence, protecting assets, managing freight flow, and ensuring sales floor readiness while maintaining stockroom

Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and management experience.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to lift and transport merchandise up to 50lbs and stand/walk extensively.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Flexible full-time or part-time schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, training and development of store team members.
• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the manager's absence.
• Protect and secure store assets, including cash.
• Maintain a professional, friendly environment for customers and staff.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards including recovery.
• Direct supervisory responsibility for hourly team members when Store Manager is absent.
• Assist with receipt/return of DSD merchandise and freight flow.
• Meet or exceed productivity standards and stock merchandise as needed.
• Plan and implement directives from the Store Operations Weekly Bulletin.
