Job summary

Roses Discount Stor in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a motivated Assistant Manager/Key Carrier to deliver excellent customer service and support the Store Manager in operating the store to meet company goals.

You will assist with hiring and training, manage daily store activities, protect assets, and ensure a safe, friendly shopping environment while maintaining stockroom organization and readiness to serve customers.

Qualifications

• Prefer prior retail and store management experience.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise up to 50 lbs with adequate safety.
• Capable of thriving in a high-energy, team environment.
• Willing to work flexible full- or part-time schedule including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Assist with hiring, training, and development of store team members as delegated by the Store Manager.
• Support all store functions and day-to-day activities as directed by the Store Manager.
• Able to perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Assist the Store Manager in protecting and securing all company assets, including cash.
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors.
• Maintain stockroom and sales floor to company standards, including recovery.
• Direct supervision for hourly team members when the Store Manager is away.
• Process corporate directives and assist with merchandise receipts and freight flow.
• Assist in ordering and stocking merchandise and maintaining stockroom organization.
• Plan and implement Store Operations directives.
