Job summary

Staples is seeking an Assistant Manager to drive sales, services and customer engagement in the store. You and your team will build relationships that foster loyalty and deliver total solutions to meet customers' needs while guiding a positive, inclusive, and collaborative store culture.

In this role, you will lead a high-performing team, coach for consultative selling, manage operations, and work with the GM to achieve sales goals and reflect Staples values in the community.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing a sales team in a retail or services industry.
• Experience coaching a team in a customer-centric, solutions-based environment.
• Must engage with customers and understand their needs.
• Strong communication, organization, planning and adaptability.
• Review results against goals and drive growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-performing team focused on exceptional store experience and consultative selling.
• Establish store culture aligned with Staples values and community commitment.
• Coach and train the team to deliver results and daily sales readiness.
• Attain sales, profit margins and execute store operations.
• Provide direction for merchandising opportunities and daily tasks with the GM.
• Delegate operational tasks and support cost control as Floor Leader.
