Job summary

Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona is seeking a Retail Store Manager to lead daily operations at a Glendale, AZ location, driving store performance and customer service in support of Goodwill's mission.

The role requires organization, budget and payroll oversight, coaching and training, and the ability to travel to other GCNA stores as needed. Excellent customer service and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• One-year work experience in Retail Management required
• One-year customer service experience required
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen, where applicable for position
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Develops and executes retail operations plan to achieve goals for income, revenue, and production.
• Monitors product levels daily to achieve bottom line sales budget against targets.
• Ensures payroll costs and operating costs are managed to budget.
• Delivers excellent customer service to donors and customers.
• De-escalates customer situations and finds appropriate solutions.
• Keeps store clean, well-kept, and reflects the Goodwill brand.
• Partners with community businesses to promote Goodwill mission.
• Serves as a Goodwill ambassador to the community.
• Leads day-to-day operations of the sales floor.
• Ensures store associates are well-trained and fulfill duties.
• Acts as key holder, closing shift manager, and back-up to Store Manager.
• Processes complex sales transactions, including returns.
• Ensures compliance with company standards and procedures.
• Travel to GCNA locations to assist stores and attend training.
• Transfers to different stores as needed.
• Collaborates with Asset Protection, HR, Safety, Finance, etc.
• Builds a high-performing team.
• Oversees performance management and development of team members.
• Supports culture change and change management.
• Models Goodwill Core Values – Trust, Collaboration, Engagement, Ownership, and Innovation.
• Performs other related duties, as assigned.
