Steve Madden in Florida seeks a Store Assistant Manager to partner with the Store Manager on all store operations and to guide a team of brand advocates to ensure an exceptional customer experience aligned with the brand values.

The role emphasizes profitability through customer engagement, merchandising, training, and daily operations, while maintaining brand standards and staff development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of retail experience.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to coordinate people, resources, and services to address business goals and needs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of retail operations including sales, customer service, merchandising, inventory, and loss prevention.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule with retail hours, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays.
• Experience in staff development, coaching, and counseling.
• Ability to process information and merchandise through the computer system and POS.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Store Manager to maximize profitability through customer engagement, merchandising, operations, and compliance.
• Create exceptional customer experiences through client focus and collaboration.
• Support visual merchandising to maintain brand standards.
• Ensure timely replenishment of merchandise.
• Ensure adherence to loss prevention and safety policies and procedures.
• Assist in training, operations, sales, inventory, administration and customer service.
• Foster development and accountability within the team.
• Process information and merchandise via POS system.
• Assist in candidate selection and hiring.
• Flexibility to perform other duties as needed.
