Job summary

Bath & Body Works is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to partner with the Store Manager to develop outstanding associates and deliver exceptional customer experiences. You’ll help drive growth across the store and lead the front-line leadership team in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will recruit, coach, and inspire associates, set clear performance expectations, and ensure payroll targets are met while maintaining our brand standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering sales, customer experience, and operational results in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Prior experience in a manager role, preferably in a retail setting.
• Thrives in a customer-first based retail environment.
• Ability to foster a customer-focused selling culture.
• Effective communication skills, openness to feedback, and adaptability.
• Ability to provide in-the-moment coaching to associates.
• Ability to de-escalate store and customer situations effectively.
• Must be available to work peak days and times, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Attract, hire, develop, inspire, and retain top talent.
• Set and reinforce clear performance expectations, results goals, and accountability with all associates.
• Act as Manager on Duty when scheduled to address customer experience, vendor relationships, or maintenance issues.
• Partner with Sales Leadership Team to support action plans and ensure effective execution of operational activities.
• Implement and sustain floorset direction to optimize the business and bring the product story to life.
• Perform opening and closing routines including bank deposits, shipment receipt, and disseminate company directives.
• Set the direction and goals for the day/shift.
• Provide individual and team performance feedback and recommendations to managers.
• Meet payroll targets by ensuring appropriate sales floor coverage and selling focus.
• Lead exceptional in-store customer experiences through selling behaviors rooted in Our Values and elevated product knowledge.
• Create genuine connections with customers through uncovering needs, sharing information, demos, and personalized recommendations.
• Train, coach, reward, and motivate associates to improve selling and the customer experience.
• Reinforce selling expectations, performance, results, and accountability with all associates.
• All store positions require physical activity, including standing, walking, reaching, and lifting.
