Job summary

ALDI Brand is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help supervise day-to-day store activities, manage schedules, and develop operational plans while identifying training opportunities to grow the team.

The role involves maintaining store standards, ensuring product quality and signage, and supporting payroll and loss prevention goals in a fast-paced retail environment. 38-hour work weeks with starting wage of $27.00 per hour; wage increase to $28.00 per hour in year 2.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3+ years of progressive experience in a retail environment is required.
• Prior management experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Establish and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports.
• Identify training and development opportunities for direct reports.
• Model company values to foster teamwork and a positive culture.
• Monitor the local competitive environment and inform leadership of adjustments needed.
• Provide product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel.
• Communicate information on weekly updates and milestones.
• Ensure adherence to inventory, stock, and cash control procedures.
• Resolve customer concerns in absence of direct leader.
• Identify hazards and maintain safe store operations and equipment.
• Maintain store cleanliness and signage.
• Assist with stock levels and product ordering.
• Merchandize products neatly to maximize sales.
• Ensure product quality, freshness, and accurate signage.
• Assist with payroll and loss prevention goals and training new employees.
• Supervise daily team operations and escalate issues when needed.
• Ensure duties are completed timely to provide excellent customer service.
