Job summary

Lids is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in San Angelo, TX to lead daily operations and staff, ensuring excellent customer service and adherence to brand standards. The role involves managing scheduling, training, and performance, while driving store KPIs and maintaining loss prevention measures.

Successful candidates will foster an inclusive team culture, handle escalations, and support inventory control, visual merchandising, and store maintenance. The position reports to the Store Manager.

Qualifications

• Established ability to produce sales results while minimizing loss.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate verbally in a clear professional manner.
• Ability to work unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Act as Manager on duty for any scheduling issues or customer complaints when the Store Manager is not present.
• Manage store associates through training programs, goal setting, and follow-up.
• Administer discipline when the Store Manager is absent.
• Foster a respectful, inclusive team environment and adherence to Brand Standards.
• Schedule and staff the store, including calling in associates during peaks.
• Support recruiting and training of store personnel on operations and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with policies and safeguard inventory, funds and property.
• Lead selling strategy to achieve KPIs and deliver customer service.
• Address customer feedback and escalations to resolve issues.
• Adhere to visual merchandising guidelines and store cleanliness.
• Maintain professional appearance per dress code.
• Execute store operations directives and safety procedures.
• Support inventory counts, pricing changes, and product organization.
• Prepare for inventory audits and assist with reconciliations.
• Open/close the store following SOPs.
