Job summary

West Elm in Paramus, NJ is seeking an Assistant Manager of Sales and Service to lead the store team, deliver world-class service, and model customer-first behavior while ensuring optimal staffing.

You will coach associates, drive sales, handle client issues, and reinforce selling principles using training resources, striving to create a welcoming, fair environment per our People-First philosophy.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills.
• Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
• 2–3 years of retail sales or customer service management experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the store team to deliver an exceptional customer experience and exceed sales goals.
• Maintain staffing coverage on the sales floor and role model sales and service.
• Coach staff on customer service principles and performance.
• Use selling tools and training to educate team on product knowledge and selling skills.
• Foster a positive, fair environment aligned with People-First philosophy.
• Ensure timely resolution of client service issues including delivery and pickups via client information systems.
