Job summary

ALDI Plymouth is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help lead daily store operations in Plymouth, IN. You will assist with supervision, scheduling, and developing operational plans while identifying training opportunities to grow the team.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent customer service, and the ability to manage inventory, payroll, and store performance. Starting wage is $26.00 per hour with a scheduled increase to $27.00 after Year 2.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment.
• Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.
• Prior management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Set and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations.
• Identify training opportunities to develop direct reports.
• Model company values and foster teamwork among employees.
• Monitor the competitive environment and adjust as needed.
• Provide product feedback and assist with stocking and merchandising decisions.
• Participate in interviewing store personnel and maintain cash controls.
• Ensure inventory procedures, signage, and cleanliness standards are met.
• Oversee payroll, losses, and training of new employees.
• Supervise daily operations and escalate issues when necessary.
