Job summary

Dollar Tree is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service and team development in Wilkes-Barre, PA. You will assist with day-to-day store activities and help maintain a well-organized sales floor and stockroom.

As a key leader, you will train Store Associates, supervise opening and closing procedures, uphold safety policies, and encourage a positive, respectful environment while delivering excellent service to customers.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail or grocery preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and perform physical duties.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain store areas and fixtures to company standards.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, record keeping (including payroll, scheduling, and cash handling), and loss prevention.
• Maintain clean, well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure store assets and cash.
• Adhere to safety policies and store procedures.
• Help Store Manager supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Maintain a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders.
• Maintain store cleanliness including restrooms, floors, and trash removal.
• Other duties as assigned.
