Job summary

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc. is seeking a Merchandise Assistant Manager to join our store leadership team in Wilkes-Barre, PA. You will work alongside the Store Manager to drive merchandising, freight processing, and guest experiences.

You'll coach a dynamic team, execute open/close procedures, protect assets, and maintain the sales floor and stockroom to Dollar Tree standards, while upholding safe, friendly customer interactions.

Qualifications

• Prior retail and management experience is preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Must be able to lift 30–50 lbs and perform required physical duties.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with all store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Process open/close procedures as needed.
• Protect and secure assets, including store cash.
• Maintain store areas to company standards (stockroom and sales floor).
• Process corporate directives and communications related to store activities.
• Keep store clean and presentable, including bathrooms.
• Foster a positive, safe, and respectful environment with customers and colleagues.
• Assist with freight flow and merchandise stocking per productivity standards.
• Plan and merchandise items and monthly Sales Planners.
