Job summary

Family Dollar is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to help oversee daily store operations, support customer service, and develop the store team. You will assist with merchandise flow, scheduling, and loss prevention while ensuring a clean, well-organized sales floor and stockroom.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent, retail management experience preferred, and strong communication and problem-solving skills to lead a high-energy team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom to sales floor and maintain seasonal areas.
