Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead a Waterbury retail location. You will help drive revenue, manage operations, and act in the Store Manager's absence to keep standards high and customers satisfied.

Responsibilities include hiring and training staff, scheduling, ordering merchandise, maintaining records, enforcing policies, assisting donors, and ensuring safety and cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, preferably with courses in Business and Marketing.
• Two years of management/supervisory experience or equivalent.
• Able to supervise shipping/receiving, stock duties, merchandising, cashiering and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operate store in manager's absence to meet budgeted revenue and expenses.
• Recruit and train retail staff and processing personnel.
• Schedule employees to ensure customer service and store efficiency.
• Order merchandise to stock the store.
• Maintain sales records and bank deposits.
• Enforce sales and employee policies.
• Assist donors with donations and receipts.
• Maintain store premises and safety standards.
• Supervise backroom processing and quality control.
• Plan attractive merchandise displays.
• Attend marketing meetings and schedule staff meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
