Goodwill of Western and Northern Connecticut is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead a Bridgeport store and support our mission. You will supervise retail staff, train team members, and ensure outstanding customer service while managing schedules, merchandising, and store operations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Two years of experience in a management/supervisory position.
• Ability to supervise and train in shipping/receiving, stock, merchandising, cashiering, and customer service retail.
• Willing to travel or relocate.
• Able to lift over 40 pounds and work in varying weather conditions.
• Availability to work day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Responsibilities

• Manage a Goodwill retail store within policy.
• Recruit, train, and supervise retail team members.
• Delegate tasks and monitor completion.
• Administer discipline as needed.
• Create schedules for customer service, displays, security, and expenses.
• Order merchandise to stock the store.
• Maintain sales data and bank deposits.
• Plan attractive displays and attend meetings.
• Maintain a clean and neat store.
