Goodwill Industries of the Southern Piedmont is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to lead the daily operations of a retail store and donation center. You will support the Store Manager in creating a positive, productive environment for customers and employees.

Responsibilities include driving sales, recruiting and onboarding staff, training, and ensuring financial procedures are followed. The role requires strong leadership, organization, and a customer-focused approach in a fast-paced setting.

• 2+ years of retail management experience.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.

• Lead store activities to ensure strong sales and production performance.
• Support recruitment, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding of new team members.
• Train and develop staff in alignment with company standards.
• Review and verify daily sales reports, deposits, and financial procedures.
• Coordinate product flow and shipments to meet inventory goals.
• Open and close the store, manage deposits, and secure the building.
• Provide excellent customer and donor service, including resolving complaints.
• Supervise processing of donated goods to ensure quality and sales readiness.
• Organize and rotate merchandise by category and color.
• Encourage team motivation through communication and performance feedback.
• Report maintenance and safety concerns to store leadership.
• Act as Store Manager in their absence.
