Job summary

Dollar Tree seeks an Assistant Store Manager to help run daily store operations, deliver friendly customer service, and mentor team members.

You will assist with merchandising, oversee opening/closing, process corporate directives, and ensure safety and policy compliance while maintaining a well-organized sales floor.

This role requires strong communication, the ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a proactive, team‑oriented approach to delivering a high‑quality shopping experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform physical duties as needed.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills required.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day store activities.
• Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns.
• Help organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom to sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures as needed.
• Maintain promotional fixtures and displays.
• Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and records including payroll and scheduling.
• Protect and secure all company assets, including store cash.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates.
• Ensure a safe, respectful environment while maintaining professional interactions.
