Job summary

Dollar Tree, Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, customer service, and team development. You’ll assist with daily store functions, help customers, organize merchandise, and supervise opening and closing procedures under the Store Manager’s guidance.

You will also participate in scheduling, payroll records, and loss prevention, while maintaining a clean, well‑stocked sales floor and safe, welcoming environment for customers and associates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives.
• Store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and perform frequent movement.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Ability to work in a high-energy, team environment.
• Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities.
• Provide friendly customer service and address questions or concerns.
• Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery to stockroom and sales floor.
• Perform opening and closing procedures.
• Assist in payroll, scheduling, and cash deposits.
• Maintain a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom.
• Protect and secure all company assets and follow safety policies.
• Assist Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
