Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and operations. You will lead the store team in servicing customers and manage the store during the Manager’s absence or when shifts oppose.

You will coach team members, help set goals, participate in hiring, and ensure timely processing of orders, returns, invoicing, and communications. The role emphasizes operational excellence and customer focus.

Qualifications

• Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification and RSS Certification.
• Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Support the Store Manager in sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations.
• Lead the store team in servicing customers and delivering excellent service.
• Supervise customer service levels at the retail showroom and grocery/office areas.
• Assist in staffing, hiring, interviewing, and selecting qualified team members.
• Ensure calls and communications follow company policy and are timely.
• Manage buy online/ship to store, hub, and DC add orders and communicate shipment arrivals.
• Oversee returns, exchanges, and refunds with proper payment methods.
• Oversee invoicing of merchandise, core charges, and warranties before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks as assigned.
• Ensure adherence to posted schedules and clocking in/out.
• Handle day-to-day store opening/closing duties and security checks.
• Maintain store building, signage, lighting, and service equipment.
• All other duties as assigned.
