Goodwill Industries of Monocacy Valley, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Store Manager for the Freedom Village Store in Sykesville, MD. The role leads daily sales floor operations, supports production and staff, and drives customer service excellence to donors and shoppers.

The position requires at least 1 year of retail management and 1 year of customer service experience, with proficiency in MS Office. Benefits include comprehensive health plans, 401(k), PTO, and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• One-year work experience in Retail Management
• One-year customer service experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Ability to speak and read English proficiently
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred

Responsibilities

• Leads the daily operations of the sales floor at Freedom Village Store to help fund the Goodwill mission.
• Monitors product levels daily to meet sales targets and manage inventory.
• Ensures payroll costs and operating costs are kept within budget.
• Delivers excellent customer service to donors and customers and de-escalates issues.
• Acts as key holder, closing shift manager, and backup to the Store Manager.
• Travels to other GCNA locations to assist stores and attend training.
