Madewell, a brand under J.Crew Group (JCG), is seeking an Assistant Manager in Houston to lead store operations and coach the sales team. You will partner with leadership to drive profitability, ensure exceptional customer service, and nurture brand loyalty within the community.

You will manage multiple responsibilities across divisions, including merchandising, operations, and staffing, while staying adaptable to evolving business goals and events.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years retail management experience.
• Ability to lead and coach sales associates.
• Flexibility with nights, weekends and holidays.
• Must bend, reach, stretch and lift at least 40 pounds (18 kg).

Responsabilités

• Support Store Director and Associate Store Manager to impact business results.
• Own designated division (Visual Merchandising, Operations, HR, Service & Selling).
• Manage store operations, systems, and technology with accountability.
• Assist with recruiting, training and development as needed.
• Foster a collaborative working environment for all associates.
• Ensure the team exceeds goals and delivers best-in-class service.
• Lead product knowledge sessions to boost customer connection.
• Engage the community and drive loyalty through events.
