Job summary

Goodwill of Southern New England is seeking an Assistant Store Manager to support store operations, including donations intake, processing, pricing and sales. Under general supervision of the Store Manager, you may supervise associates and shift supervisors, coordinate community service workers, and handle daily tasks to meet budget and safety standards.

The role requires regular weekend, evening and holiday hours as typical to retail.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), plus a minimum of two years related experience, including supervisory experience; or combination of specialized training or post-secondary education in a related field and retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the store's operations including donations intake, processing, sales, and security.
• May supervise work for store associates and shift supervisors; coordinate community service workers as assigned by the Store Manager.
• Assist in achieving financial goals, budgets, and loss prevention; ensure cash handling and reporting procedures are followed.
• Maintain store appearance and customer service standards, safety, and housekeeping across all areas.
