Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Illinois to support daily store operations, lead teams, and assist with staffing. You will partner with the Store Manager to drive sales performance and ensure excellent customer experiences while upholding policies and standards.

The role involves supervising associates, assisting with hiring, onboarding, and training, and coaching staff to meet performance goals in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3–5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to meet sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Monitor sales activity and guide associates to deliver excellent customer service.
• Assist with inventory control, inventory transactions, and shrink prevention.
• Ensure compliance with Citi Trends policies and standards.
• Supervise and support store associates in sales, inventory, cash handling, and customer service.
• Assist Store Manager with hiring, onboarding, and training support.
• Provide coaching and performance feedback to associates.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and customer-focused store environment.
• Support adherence to merchandising and visual standards.
• Perform additional duties to support store operations and business needs.
