Job summary

Citi Trends is seeking an Assistant Store Manager in Chicago to partner with the Store Manager in leading daily store operations, driving sales, and developing the team. You will oversee staffing, onboarding, and coaching to ensure top customer service and operational excellence.

With 2-4 years in a similar leadership role and 3-5 years of retail experience, you will help maintain standards, manage scheduling, and support loss prevention while promoting growth within the organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-4 years of experience as an Assistant Manager or similar retail leadership role.
• 3-5 years of overall retail experience preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and people leadership skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including percentages.

Responsibilities

• Support daily store operations to achieve sales goals and customer experience standards.
• Supervise and support store associates; assist with hiring, onboarding, and training.
• Maintain a safe, organized store environment and ensure policy compliance.
• Contribute to merchandising, inventory controls, and loss prevention efforts.
