Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Store Team Member at the Katy, TX location to help customers, locate products, and ensure a fast checkout. You will assist with merchandising, stocking, and Omni channel tasks while representing Michaels’ brand promises.

Responsibilities include friendly customer interactions, cash handling, rewards enrollment, VOC education, and adherence to SOPs. This role requires standing for long periods and may involve evenings, weekends, and early mornings at a busy retail store.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes.
• Responsible for merchandise recovery and maintenance including returns and go-backs.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs.
• Adhere to SOPs and Company programs; ensure compliance and follow policies.
• Interact with others respectfully and be a role model; promote the organization’s vision and values.
