Job summary

Michaels is seeking a team member for the store in Alexandria, VA. The role focuses on delivering friendly customer service, helping customers locate products, and ensuring a fast checkout experience.

You will participate in stocking, merchandising, and omnichannel tasks like BOPIS and SFS, while promotion of rewards programs and private label cards. The position demands some physical tasks, flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as needed, and compliance with store SOPs.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy boxes.
• Availability to work nights, weekends and early mornings.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and enroll them
• Educate customers on the VOC survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes (BOPIS and SFS)
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes
• Maintain store recovery and merchandise availability
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and company policies
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
