Job summary

Burlington Stores, Inc. is seeking a Shortage Control Associate to help reduce theft and maintain a secure shopping environment. You will greet customers, monitor entrances, and support store leadership in loss prevention programs while delivering excellent customer service.

The position is part-time and requires flexibility for nights, weekends, and holidays. Base pay is $15 per hour, with benefits available for eligible part-time associates, including medical coverage and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, Asset Protection, Loss Prevention, or Operations preferred.
• Strong communication and observation skills are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, security-focused environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor store entrances and exits to deter theft and maintain safety.
• Greet customers and associates with a friendly, confident presence to reinforce security.
• Communicate theft prevention information with team and manager on duty.
• Assist in training associates on shortage reduction programs and processes.
• Model safety, address unsafe practices promptly and professionally.
