Goodwill Industries Southern New England Inc is seeking a Retail Shift Supervisor to support the Store Manager in daily operations. The role emphasizes customer service, donation processing, pricing and training new staff, with emphasis on safety and policy compliance.

Must work weekends/holidays and evenings as needed in a retail environment. Compensation includes potential bonuses and benefits; full-time hours offered at a rate described below.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED plus at least 1 year of related experience or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and to communicate effectively.
• Good math and cash-handling skills; basic reporting and record-keeping ability.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and donors with courteous service and guidance.
• Maximize processing of used goods through sorting, pricing and stocking.
• Ensure store safety, cleanliness, and compliance with policies and procedures.
• Supervise and train new employees as needed.
• Maintain accurate cash handling, close out registers and deposits.
• Open/close the store, supervise staff, and safeguard assets.
