Job summary

Goodwill of Southern New England is seeking a full-time Retail Shoper to assist in daily store operations. The role pays $18.50 per hour with weekend, holiday and evening hours common to retail. You will help customers and donors, process donations, price items, and ensure the store runs smoothly.

You will maintain a clean, safe environment, handle cash, train new staff, and act in the manager's absence as needed. This position offers competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with at least 1 year related experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers and donors in a timely, courteous manner and provide excellent service.
• Maximize used goods processing through sorting, pricing and production goals.
• Keep store and premises neat, safe and compliant with procedures.
• Assist with unloading trucks, sorting donations, and training new hires.
• Maintain production areas and accurate cash handling; close out registers daily.
• Operate in the Store Manager's absence, including opening/closing and directing staff.
• Report unsafe conditions and suspected fraud to supervisor.
