Job summary

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries is hiring a Retail Shift Supervisor for our Manchester Store in Manchester, MO. The role supports mission-driven work by supervising staff, delivering excellent customer service, and ensuring daily operations run smoothly.

The position is hourly, full-time with a rate of $19.50 per hour and a monthly bonus potential up to $500. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, retirement plans, PTO, holidays, and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• No degree required; HS diploma/GED preferred.
• 1 year retail management or related Goodwill/Retail experience required.
• Strong customer service, communication, teamwork skills.
• Leadership: decision-making, motivation, goal-setting, problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and train staff; ensure core duties are performed.
• Provide superior customer service to donors, shoppers and staff; de-escalate issues.
• Coach employees on performance; discipline up to termination as needed.
• Assign daily tasks and optimize staffing for operations.
• Identify and promote employees with proven performance for advancement.
• Protect company property and confidential information; report theft or misconduct.
• Read, follow, and enforce agency policies and values.
• Manage payroll approvals and staffing efficiency.
