Job summary

MERS/Missouri Goodwill Industries in Florissant, MO is seeking a Retail Shift Supervisor to support daily store operations and staff supervision. You will lead front-line teams, ensure excellent donor and shopper experiences, and drive efficiency in scheduling, payroll, and inventory processes.

The role offers hourly pay at $19.50 with potential monthly bonuses up to $500, plus comprehensive benefits for full-time staff and flexible scheduling options.

Qualifications

• No degree required; HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• 1 year retail management or Goodwill retail/warehouse experience required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills including customer service, conflict resolution and teamwork.
• Leadership skills: decision-making, motivation, goal-setting, problem solving.
• Familiar with registers, scheduling and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and train staff to perform primary duties.
• Provide superior customer service to ensure donor and shopper retention and resolve issues quickly.
• Coach employees on performance, including discipline up to termination.
• Assign daily tasks with independent judgment to meet targets.
• Identify staff for advancement based on performance.
• Protect company property and information; report theft or misconduct.
• Follow agency policies and values.
• Use staffing methods to ensure appropriate coverage; arrange replacements; audit payroll.
• Reduce waste through process improvements.
• Maintain professional appearance per dress code.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Monthly bonus up to $500.
