Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill Industries in O’Fallon, MO is looking for a Retail Shift Supervisor to lead our OFallon Store – Market Center team. The ideal candidate will supervise staff, provide excellent customer service, and help achieve daily store goals.

This hourly, full-time position offers a starting rate of $19.50 per hour with a monthly bonus potential up to $500 and a benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and retirement options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred; no degree required.
• 1 year of retail management or Goodwill retail/warehouse experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Leadership in decision-making, motivation, and goal-setting.
• Comfortable with registers, scheduling, and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and train staff and ensure core duties are performed.
• Provide superior customer service to ensure donor/shoppers/staff retention.
• Coach employees on performance, including discipline up to termination.
• Assign daily duties to achieve operational tasks.
• Identify candidates for advancement based on performance.
• Safeguard property and report theft or misconduct.
• Read and enforce all agency policies, procedures, and values.
• Utilize staffing methods; arrange replacements; audit payroll.
• Eliminate wasteful practices through process improvement.
• Maintain professional appearance per dress code.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Monthly Bonus up to $500.
