Job summary

MERS Missouri Goodwill Industries is seeking a Retail Shift Supervisor for the OFallon IL Store - Auto Ct. The role supports our mission, “Changing Lives Through the Power of Work!” and focuses on staff supervision, customer service, and daily store operations.

The position is full-time, hourly, at $19.50 per hour, with a monthly bonus up to $500 and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life, and retirement plans, plus PTO and paid holidays.

Qualifications

• No degree required; HS Diploma/GED preferred.
• 1 year retail management experience or previous Goodwill Retail or Warehouse experience required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and teamwork.
• Leadership in decision-making, motivation, and goal-setting; strong problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable with registers, scheduling, and inventory software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and train staff to perform core functions.
• Provide superior customer service to retain donors, shoppers, and staff; de-escalate issues.
• Coach and counsel employees on job duties, including disciplinary actions when needed.
• Assign daily duties using independent judgment to meet store goals.
• Identify candidates for advancement and oversee payroll-related tasks.
