Job summary

Applegreen is seeking a Shift Supervisor to lead daily operations at our travel plaza locations. You will guide team members to deliver exceptional customer service, manage cash handling, and ensure compliance with brand standards and food safety requirements.

You’ll train new staff, oversee opening, daily and closing procedures, and maintain product knowledge while actively cross-selling. Flexibility to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays is required, with emphasis on safety and

Qualifications

• Cash handling and customer service experience required.
• Shift supervisor or leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to interact with the public and coworkers in a friendly, enthusiastic, and outgoing manner.

Responsibilities

• Lead the activities of team members on shift.
• Provide friendly customer service and resolve complaints.
• Complete opening, daily and closing procedures/checklists.
• Operate POS system and process payments following cash handling policies.
• Ensure proper food handling including labeling, dating, stocking and temperature checks.
• Perform kitchen tasks including prep, thawing, cooking and cleaning.
• Stock, clean and sanitize workstation and equipment.
• Actively cross-sell and up-sell products.
• Maintain knowledge of plaza products and services.
• Assist in training of new team members.
• Follow brand standards and policies.
• Inform plaza leadership of observations or problems.
• Execute other tasks as assigned.
