MERS Missouri Goodwill is seeking a Retail Shift Supervisor for our Carbondale Store - Mainteam. The ideal candidate will supervise staff, ensure strong customer service, and uphold our mission of Changing Lives Through the Power of Work. No degree required; HS diploma preferred.

This hourly full-time position offers a starting hourly rate of $19.50 with a monthly bonus up to $500, plus comprehensive benefits and flexible scheduling options.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED preferred.
• 1 year of retail management experience or equivalent Goodwill/Retail exposure required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including customer service, conflict resolution, and teamwork.
• Leadership skills: decision-making, motivation, goal-setting and problem-solving.
• Comfortable with registers, scheduling, and inventory management software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, direct, and train staff to perform core duties.
• Deliver superior customer service to retain donors, shoppers and staff.
• Coach employees on performance and discipline as needed.
• Assign daily tasks to ensure smooth operations and coverage.
• Identify top performers for advancement and succession planning.
• Safeguard property and data; report theft or misconduct.
• Enforce agency policies and store values consistently.
• Coordinate staffing to maintain adequate coverage and payroll accuracy.
• Support process improvements to reduce waste and inefficiency.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code.
