Job summary

Michaels is hiring a Store Associate in Chesapeake, VA to deliver friendly customer service, help customers shop, and provide a fast, accurate checkout experience. You will assist with stocking, truck unloading, and keeping shelves well merchandised.

The role supports Omni-channel processes (BOPIS/SFS), promotes the Rewards program and private label cards, and ensures adherence to SOPs, safety, and store recovery standards. Night/weekend shifts may apply.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including BOPIS and SFS
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POGs) processes
• Maintain merchandise recovery and in-stock store conditions
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Adhere to SOPs and Company programs; interact positively with customers and team members
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
