Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and Assistant Managers in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations. The role includes shift management in the manager’s absence and strong emphasis on customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills required.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience is desirable, auto parts experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Oversee customer service levels in the showroom and ensure adherence to service programs.
• Answer phone calls and manage communications per policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, transfers, and DC orders, notifying customers on shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and accurately.
• Invoice merchandise including core charges and warranties before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure staff adheres to schedule and proper clock-in/out procedures.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, cash handling, and security checks.
• Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
