Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support the Store Manager and team in sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations in Boise, ID. This role may take on shift management in the absence of leadership.

Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply; automotive knowledge and RSS certification are valued. The position emphasizes teamwork, performance, and a commitment to excellent customer experiences.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills required.
• Ability to obtain RSS Certification.
• Retail sales experience, preferably in auto parts.
• Automotive systems knowledge beneficial.
• ASE Certification is a plus.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels on the showroom floor and ensure execution of programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
• Ensure telephone is answered according to policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub transfers, and DC add orders promptly and notify customers on shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently using the outside purchase ledger.
• Process returns and exchanges promptly and issue refunds correctly.
• Ensure merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store, including core charges and warranties.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure adherence to posted work schedules and proper clocking in/out.
• Perform store opening/closing duties and day-end procedures, manage deposits, and secure premises.
