Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist to support Store Managers in sales, service, appearance, and operations. The role includes shift management in the absence of leadership and encouraging bilingual applicants.

You will supervise front-line staff, manage customer service programs, and ensure accurate processing of orders, returns, and invoicing while maintaining store security and appearances.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills.
• RSS Certification required.
• Retail sales experience preferred.
• Automotive systems knowledge.
• ASE Certification valued.
• Spanish language proficiency is highly desired.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels in the showroom and oversee programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, etc.).
• Answer telephone per policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders; contact customers on shipment arrivals.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases using the outside purchase ledger.
• Process returns and exchanges; issue refunds using correct payment methods.
• Ensure merchandise is invoiced before leaving the store; communicate Zipline messages and delegate merchandising tasks.
• Ensure staff adherence to work schedules and proper clock-in/out per policy.
• Perform opening/closing duties, day-end procedures, deposits, banking, security, and vehicle checks.
• All other duties as assigned.
