Job summary

O’Reilly Auto Parts is seeking a Retail Service Specialist in Charlotte, NC. This role supports the Store Manager and assists with sales, customer service, store appearance, and operations, including shift management in their absence.

Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply; strong communication and the ability to obtain RSS Certification are required. The position emphasizes leading teams, processing orders, handling returns, and ensuring store procedures are followed.

Responsibilities

• Lead store team members in delivering excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
• Supervise customer service levels in the retail showroom and ensure program execution (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot).
• Answer telephone according to company policy.
• Process buy online/ship to store, hub and store-to-store transfers, and DC add orders; contact customers on shipment arrivals as needed.
• Handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently per procedure; use electronic outside purchase order ledger.
• Process returns and exchanges; issue refunds using correct payment methods; stage returned merchandise correctly.
• Invoicing of merchandise including core charges and warranties before product leaves the store.
• Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker/merchandising tasks.
• Ensure adherence to posted work schedule; manage deviations with management; clock in/out per policy.
• Perform store opening/closing duties, day-end procedures, secure money/deposits, prepare bank deposits, secure building and deliveries.
• All other duties as assigned.
