Job summary

Michaels Portland store is seeking a friendly team member to assist customers, locate products, and ensure a fast, accurate checkout experience. You will participate in truck unloading, stocking, merchandising, and planogram maintenance to keep the store well stocked and inviting.

The role supports omni-channel tasks such as BOPIS/SFS, rewards enrollment, and VOC surveys, with a focus on safety and compliance. 16+ years old, flexible hours, and a team-first attitude preferred.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Able to stand for long periods and move around the store.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards
• Engage customers on rewards programs and enrollments
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store and Ship From Store
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram processes
• Complete merchandise recovery and store recovery to maintain in-stock displays
• Support shrink and safety programs
• Follow SOPs and company policies to ensure compliance
• Interact respectfully with customers and colleagues; be a positive role model
• Cross trained in Custom Framing selling and production
