Job summary

Michaels is seeking a Store Associate for the Southbury, CT location. You will help customers find products, provide solutions, and ensure quick, friendly checkout experiences.

You’ll handle cash, enroll customers in rewards programs, and participate in omnichannel processes like BOPIS and SFS. You’ll also support stocking, merchandising, and store recovery to maintain a well-stocked, customer-friendly store.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for long periods and move throughout the store.
• Regular bending, lifting, carrying, reaching, and stretching.

Responsibilities

• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide solutions.
• Provide a fast and friendly checkout experience; execute cash handling to standards.
• Engage customers on the Rewards program and Private Label Credit Cards and complete enrollments.
• Educate customers on the Voice of Customer (VOC) survey.
• Assist with Omni channel processes, including Buy Online Pickup in Store (BOPIS) and Ship From Store (SFS).
• Participate in truck unload, stocking, and planogram (POG) processes.
• Complete merchandise recovery and maintenance including returns/go back process and store recovery.
• Perform Store In Stock Optimization (SISO) and AD set duties as assigned.
• Support shrink and safety programs; adhere to SOPs and company policies.
