Job summary

Belk is seeking a Store Manager who will lead the store’s executive team in exceeding sales and profitability goals while driving top-line results and delivering best-in-class associate and customer experiences. This exempt role requires a high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative.

The position develops a high-performing team through coaching, structured onboarding, and engaging leadership practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Retail Store Management experience.
• Ability to lead, coach, and develop a team.
• Strong focus on customer experience excellence.
• Analytical mindset to drive profitability decisions.
• Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Comfort with technology and Windows-based systems.
• Must be able to move around all store areas and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate ownership and accountability in achieving store objectives and company goals.
• Lead weekly workload planning meetings with store leadership and regional partners.
• Develop action plans, set priorities, and coach the team to drive performance.
• Manage annual expense budgets and optimize staffing to meet business needs.
• Elevate merchandising and visual standards to brand guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with loss prevention and safety protocols.
